Interior painting in Louisville, KY
The Tenant Turn paints interiors for homes and rentals in Louisville, KY: walls, ceilings, trim and doors, from one room to the whole house. We patch the holes first with drywall repair, tape, cover the floors and cut the lines clean, so the paint goes on a wall that is ready for it.

Interior painting in Louisville with The Tenant Turn is billed at $75 an hour with a 2-hour minimum for small jobs. Painting a whole room or more is quoted by the job before we start, and paint and supplies are billed at cost plus 10% with the receipts.
What's covered
- Walls and ceilings, one room or several
- Trim, baseboards and door frames
- Interior doors
- Touch-ups after repairs
- Patching and sanding before paint
- Repaints between tenants on a rental turnover
How we paint a room
The paint is only as good as the wall under it. We fill nail holes and cracks, sand them flat, spot-prime the patches, then tape the trim and cover the floors and furniture. Two coats go on with clean lines at the ceiling and the trim, and we pull the tape while the paint is still workable so the edge stays sharp.
If the room also has a door that rubs or a stain on the ceiling, bring it up. Door repair and drywall patches go on the same visit, before the paint.
Which finish goes where
Flat paint hides wall flaws and suits ceilings. Eggshell and satin hold up in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. Semi-gloss wipes clean, so it goes on trim, doors, kitchens and bathrooms. If you are not sure, tell us the room and we will tell you what we would use.
What interior painting costs in Louisville
Small jobs, like a wall or a patch repair and touch-up, are billed at $75 an hour with a 2-hour minimum. A full room or a whole house is quoted by the job before we start, so you know the number first. Paint and supplies are billed at cost plus 10% with the receipts, or you can supply your own.
Rentals and move-outs
Landlords book us to repaint between tenants. Painting is part of a rental turnover, done after the repairs and before the deep clean so the unit is ready to show.

Questions
How much does interior painting cost in Louisville?
Small jobs are $75 an hour with a 2-hour minimum. A full room or more is quoted by the job before we start, because the number depends on the walls, the ceiling height and how much repair the wall needs first.
What is the best way to paint a room?
Patch and sand first, prime the patches, tape the trim, cover the floor, cut in the edges with a brush, then roll two coats. Skipping the prep is why most DIY paint jobs look uneven.
Do you supply the paint?
Either way. You can pick the paint and we apply it, or we pick it up for you and bill it at cost plus 10% with the receipt.
Do you paint ceilings and trim too?
Yes, walls, ceilings, trim, baseboards and doors are all part of interior painting.
Can you patch holes and paint on the same visit?
Yes. We patch and sand first, then paint, so the repair disappears under the new coat.
Do you paint rentals between tenants?
Yes, painting is part of our rental turnover work, in Louisville and nearby.
How long before the new paint is dry?
Most interior paint is dry to the touch in about an hour and ready for a second coat in a few hours, but it keeps hardening for a couple of weeks, so wait to scrub or wash the walls. Follow the time on the can.
